Touche.

September?

Better

Let’s file today under supermegaonethousandpoundsofweightonmyshoulderswillIeverpassthebarlifefreakout, shall we?

Remember how in college, when one was  suffering from one of the panoply of tragedies of college life,  the AIM away message provided such release and solace?  Sappy song lyrics, cryptic ex-boyfriend-targeted quotes, “I had the best night ever last night and you weren’t there!” messages,  the endless supply of carpe diem quotes.

Just me?

Well, here are the song lyrics that I would surely post on my AIM tonight, if only dancegirl51585 hadn’t ridden off  into the sunset with the dawning of google chat.

But you’ll fight and you’ll make it through
You’ll fake it if you have to
And you’ll show up for work with a smile
You’ll be better
And You’ll be smarter
And More grown up and a better daughter or son
And a real good friend
And you’ll be awake
You’ll be alert
You’ll be positive though it hurts
And you’ll laugh and embrace all your friends
And you’ll be a real good listener
You’ll be honest
You’ll be brave
You’ll be handsome and you’ll be beautiful
You’ll be happy.

…Rings pretty true tonight.  Thanks Kim (and Rilo Kiley).
